SAKURA SEASON 2022 / JAPAN
Cherry Blossom & Flower Viewing
Flower viewing usually refers to going to parks and enjoying SAKURA flowers. It is not a long-term period on the contrary of displayed in dramas and animes. It is usually between the end of March to the beginning of May. It depends on the climate and temperature lows in autumn and winter.
This year, it is expected about 26 March. Last two year, there were restrictions and public events for HANAMI was canceled to prevent the Covid. Unfortunately, this year can be the same. However, you can still enjoy drinking and eating under the cherry blossom trees. Crowded gatherings are not encouraged to organize some events but, small groups and families can enjoy while considering preventions.

Seasonality is very important for Japanese culture. Each season, you can enjoy specific sceneries and experiences. From restaurants, menus to the color theme of the supermarket shelves keep changing.
Of course, sakura season is a good chance to take these pink themes to apply almost every aspect of Japanese life. It can be considered as one of the “Only in Japan” experiences.
